“I would like to thank Gisele Veilleux for her thoughtful and careful editing and formatting work. When I wrote this book, I had no idea how much I really needed an editor and I had little idea of how much editors can bring to a project such as this. Well, l guess that’s why there are editors! I highly recommend Gisele for any of your editing or copy writing needs.”

Dear Visitor:
Do you dream of being an author? Have you written or are currently writing your first book? Wonderful! Even if you’re finished with your book, you’ve probably found this website because you’re stuck, and don’t know what to do next.
What to do next depends on what your defined goals are, and your budget.
There is no right or wrong way to get your book published. However, if you’re a first-time author, it will be nearly impossible for you to get the recognition you desire. Notice I said nearly impossible. The best way for you to approach this new and exciting journey is to take baby steps. Baby steps will allow you to test your book, read reviews, and tweak your book until it completely satisfies you and your audience.
As a matter of fact, there are so many things you will need to do to market your book, you could easily get discouraged.
You must be prepared to wear many hats!
What can you expect? Here’s just a sample of tasks that I can help you prepare for:
· Find an editor that can review your book not only to correct errors, but to ensure accuracy · Find a designer for your book’s cover or design your own cover · Apply for a copyright · Apply for your own ISBN number or if you allow me to publish your book for you, I can provide you with an ISBN number. · Create a website that promotes your book · Ensure your website has been properly and fully optimized for the search engines, especially Google · Manually submit your website to the search engines so your book can be found on the internet · Write various manuscripts that will be used to solicit your book to prospective publishers · Solicit your book to a literary agents · Find publishers that accept unsolicited manuscripts · Format a version of your book (PDF) for possible on-demand printing. · Find and setup an online agent that will electronically sell your book, i.e., Paypal, Booksurge, Lulu, Google books, etc. · Start writing your sequel, because publishers are less likely to be interested in your work if you don’t already have a series of books ready to roll out.
I realize that this sounds like a lot of work, after all, you’re a writer and a story teller, you’re not a web designer, a technical writer, a publishing specialist, an SEO consultant, a formatting specialist, a graphic designer, or a press agent. All that you originally intended to do was to write a book, and your frustration level might be off the scale. Maybe you didn’t realize what was in store for you!
The good news is, it CAN be fun!
You may find that all you need is: · A little bit of coaching · A helping hand · Some tips and tricks · Someone to delegate a few of these tasks for you · Someone to inspire and motivate you
I can help you do all of these things! Remember, software doesn’t solve problems, people do.

“The book has arrived!! Now I know how you felt when you first saw your own. It’s wonderful. The quality of the front-back covers, the quality of the paper, the layout even with the Daoist Dog and Panda facing each other from opposite pages and it really looks great? And, all of your work to make it so!!! I can’t wait to show it to people! “ Ken Sproul, author of The Dao of SEO, 2008 Edition http://www.lulu.com/content/2075882

In late November I found myself in need of an editor to help me publish my first eBooks. Gisele’s name was referred to me by a trusted, and valuable resource/friend, whose opinion I trusted implicitly-Ken Sproul.
Since I am a skeptic by birth and a complete newbie to the book business, I felt like I needed more than an editor. I needed someone who; communicated well, had a sense of humor, was very patient to put up with me, was knowledgeable about the business, and to me, maybe the most important, someone who was honest and forthright-someone I could trust.
Boy was I ever lucky to find Gisele Veilleux. First of all, she embodies all the attributes I was looking for in spades. Secondly, she put my project on her front burner and made me feel like I was her most important project. Thirdly, she is almost as concerned about costs as I was. Lastly, I ended up calling her 'the boss', because she just exudes the confidence of a take charge person who knows the best way to get things done.
The final result far exceeded my expectations and she went beyond that by producing a video on Youtube promoting my books. Do I recommend Gisele to anyone else? Are you kidding? She is awesome and what a find! You may contact me at 719-289-0440 if you have any further questions.

There is no technology that can make you a great writer. Technology itself changes too quickly for any busy person to keep up with. Software doesn’t solve your challenges… people do. Books are written by story tellers. Story tellers are people. If the human factor is not lost, any book can find its audience and be enjoyed. |
